| Upon arrival from the body shop Sherman was substantially complete. Because the interior was next on the list, none of the windows were in the car and the close out panel for the wipers was not installed. |
![]() Once Sherman made it back from getting the entire interior restored, it was time to get the glass installed. Below, clips are installed around the rear window in the same place they were removed, based on historical pictures. A couple of clips get screwed into the body. ![]() Next, the gasket is filled with C.R. Laurence CRL7708 Windshield and Body Sealant, and then taped into place. You can see some of the sealant on the white part of the room. It removes cleanly with WD-40, and then Sprayway glass cleaner is used to clean the WD-40. ![]() Next, the window is placed into the gasket and using glass tools, the lip is pulled around the glass. The outer side of the gasket is then filled with the same Windshield and Body Sealant. ![]() Next, everything is thoroughly cleaned for the exterior trim installation to begin. ![]() Careful taps from a dead-blow hammer get the bottom piece into place. ![]() Trim installation complete. As the trim was fitted, some sealant squeezes out, which is normal. It was later cleaned. ![]() |
